Chat and calls for your team
Topic channels, direct messages and voice rooms with camera and screen sharing.
In the browser, on the desktop and on the phone.
An account on outcome.ru is free — all it takes is an e-mail.
For companies — a space of your own, a week free,
or your own server.
Everything a team uses every day
Channels and direct messages
Topic channels, replies and reactions, drag-and-drop files, voice messages,
search across the whole history and pinned messages in every channel.
Voice rooms
Walk into a room and you are on the call. Camera, screen sharing, noise
suppression right in the browser, call recordings posted to the room's chat.
Guests by link
A contractor or a client needs no account: the link opens one voice room in the
browser, not the whole server.
Private stays private outcome.ru
Direct messages and one-to-one calls are encrypted on your devices. The keys
never leave them — the server only ever receives ciphertext.
Three ways to work in Outcome
The app is the same. What differs is where the server runs and who answers for the data.
For everyone · free
An account on outcome.ru
Ready in a minute, nothing to install.
- Direct messages and one-to-one calls are end-to-end encrypted. The keys
are made on your device and never leave it; not even we can read the conversation.
- Files are stored encrypted on the server. Attachments are not yet
end-to-end encrypted the way the text of direct messages is.
- Channels are not end-to-end encrypted. Everyone who joins a
channel has to be able to read its history, and keys on devices cannot do that.

For companies · paid
A space of your own
A separate installation on our hardware. A week free, then per user.
- Its own database — not a schema or a prefix: your company's data does not
sit next to anyone else's.
- Your own address, sign-in and look. Your people sign in with your Google
or Yandex and see your logo.
- Encryption as on outcome.ru: direct messages and one-to-one calls.
- The server is not yours. We run and update it. If you need the
hardware inside your company — see the next card.
Self-hosted · free
Your own server
Open Docker images, an MIT-licensed deploy kit.
- Your data never leaves your network. Database, files and the media server
run on your machine; no analytics, no telemetry.
- No plans, no limits — for personal and commercial use.
- No encryption — neither end-to-end nor on disk. This build has
no crypto modules at all. The guarantee here is a different one: not "the server
cannot read it", but "the server is yours".
How to install
In the browser, on the desk and in your pocket
The web version needs no installation. The desktop app adds a push-to-talk key
over any window, sharing a single window with its sound, and a tray icon.
If Windows or Android warn you during installation
Windows shows SmartScreen — "Windows protected your PC", unknown publisher.
The installer has no code-signing certificate yet; every new program is greeted this
way. Click "More info", then "Run anyway". It installs into your user
profile without administrator rights, and the app fetches new versions by itself.
Android asks for permission to install — the file came from the browser, not
from a store. Allow installing from this source and confirm. It is the same app that
goes to RuStore, signed with the same key.
Linux: make the AppImage executable — chmod +x — and run it like
any program. The .deb package installs with
sudo apt install ./outcome-desktop_1.0.4_amd64.deb and updates through apt.
Your own server in an evening
The whole stack comes up from one file: the server, PostgreSQL, object storage and
the media server for calls. It is the open build without encryption — what protects
the conversation there is that the server is yours.
- A reverse proxy with automatic TLS — included
- Configurations for Compose, Swarm and Kubernetes
- Several server replicas behind one Redis

Questions
Do I need my own server to try it?
No. Make an account on outcome.ru — it takes a minute. Your own server is for those who
want the conversation on their own hardware; you can move later.
What exactly is encrypted?
It depends on the server. On outcome.ru and in company spaces, direct messages and
one-to-one calls are end-to-end encrypted: the keys never leave the device. The open
build you install yourself has no end-to-end encryption — there, what protects the
conversation is that the server is yours. Channels are not end-to-end encrypted
anywhere: a channel is a shared room whose history everyone who joins must read.
How much does it cost?
An account on outcome.ru and your own server are free. The Docker images are
free for personal and commercial use, with no cap on the number of people.
A space for a company is paid, per user a month. A separate installation on our
hardware with its own database, address, sign-in and look; we run and update it. The
first week is free: create a space yourself in a couple of
minutes. Your own domain, sign-in with Google or Yandex, payment under a contract —
contact us.
What do calls need on my own server?
The microphone and camera work only over HTTPS or on localhost — the deploy kit comes
with TLS. Sound and video go to the media server over UDP, on a port of their own.
Can I delete my account?
Yes, in the app's settings, without writing to support. Your messages stay as
"Deleted message" placeholders, so that the replies to them still make sense.
