Questions
What is a good Discord alternative for a team?
Outcome works like Discord: servers, channels and voice rooms with screen sharing. It runs in the browser, on Windows, macOS, Linux and Android.
Is there an end-to-end encrypted Discord alternative?
On outcome.ru, direct messages, channels, their files and one-to-one calls are end-to-end encrypted. Discord encrypts calls, but not messages.
Can I self-host it?
Yes. The Docker images and the deploy kit are free, commercial use included. That build has no encryption: what protects the conversation there is that the server is yours.
Can I move my Discord server over?
The message history cannot be moved. The server and its channels take a couple of minutes to set up again, and one invite link brings the team in.
Is it free?
An account on outcome.ru is free. A company space is paid per user a month, with the first week free.
Is it good for gaming?
Voice rooms work for any call. There is no in-game overlay and no game status: Outcome is built for work.
